The 2017 Midwest Flag Football Regional Championships presented by Dicks Sporting Goods.

WHEN:     November 11th & 12th, 2017

WHERE:   Walled Lake Northern H.S. located at 6000 Bogie Lake Road, Commerce Township, MI. 48382

STYLE:      5 vs. 5 NFL FLAG RULES (w/modifications)

FORMAT:  This is a two day tournament where all teams will be playing both days. Teams will compete in a 3 game round robin format of play followed by an advancement into a single elimination playoff bracket.

DIVISIONS:

There are two divisions offered within this format, the RIP IT DIVISION  which is our competitive arm of play, and our GRIP IT DIVISION which is created for our recreational teams.

​

THE RIP IT DIVISION - Anybody can compete in this division. However, typically this is a division for undefeated and one loss teams. Teams that sign up for this division are competing for a PAID BID into our GRIP IT & RIP IT SHOWDOWN, Martin Luther King weekend in Florida.

THE GRIP IT DIVISION - Teams that sign up for this division are recreational based teams, usually with a few blemishes on their record, competing for individual trophies and a good time.

Grades are based off of the 2017/2018 school year.

​

1st Grade or younger - Grip It & Rip It Divisions

All participants in this division must either be in 1st Grade or younger or BORN IN 2010.

You must provide proof of grade or proof of age for this division.

 

2nd Grade or younger - Rip It Only Division

All participants in this division must either be in 2nd Grade or younger or BORN IN 2009.

​You must provide proof of grade or proof of age for this division.

 

3rd Grade or younger - Grip It & Rip It Divisions

All participants in this division must either be in 3rd Grade or younger or BORN IN 2008.

​You must provide proof of grade or proof of age for this division.

 

4th Grade or younger - Rip It Only Division

All participants in this division must either be in 4th Grade or younger or BORN IN 2007.

​You must provide proof of grade or proof of age for this division.

 

5th Grade or younger - Grip It & Rip It Divisions

All participants in this division must either be in 5th Grade or younger or BORN IN 2006.

​You must provide proof of grade or proof of age for this division.

 

6th Grade or younger - Rip It Only Division

All participants in this division must either be in 6th Grade or younger or BORN IN 2005.

​You must provide proof of grade or proof of age for this division.

7th Grade or younger - Rip It Only Division

All participants in this division must either be in 7th Grade or younger or BORN IN 2004.

​You must provide proof of grade or proof of age for this division.

​​

8th Grade or younger - Rip It Only Division

All participants in this division must either be in 8th Grade or younger or BORN IN 2003.

​You must provide proof of grade or proof of age for this division.

​

NEW 9th and 10th Grade Division - Rip It Division Only

There is no Florida bid associated with this division. 

All participants in this division must either be in either 9th or 10th grade.

​You must provide proof of grade for this division.

​

NEW 11th & 12th Grade Division - Rip It Division Only

There is no Florida bid associated with this division.

All participants in this division must either be in either 11th or 12th grade.

​You must provide proof of grade for this division.

 

All divisions must have a minimum of four teams for the division to go. If there are less then four teams signed up, team coaches will be called with options of playing up or being refunded.
